Julie Tebbs was born in Missouri and raised in Maryland. She began playing the violin when she was in 4th grade and hasn't put it down since. During her Jr. High and High School years, Julie studied violin with RoseAnn Markow Lester.
While in High School, Julie and some friends started the Archangelo Quartet and played for many community functions such as weddings, Midnight Mass, etc.
After graduation from High School, Julie went on to college at Utah State University in Logan, Utah where she received a violin scholarship. She studied violin under Dr. Mark Emile. She received her B.S. in Music Education in 1992.
Julie has been teaching violin since she left high school. She generally has about 10 students in her studio, but has in the past (in her single days!) had up to 25. She has taught students from age 4 to 65, beginning through advanced students.
Julie is currently teaching in her home in Kirkland WA, close to Evergreen Hospital. To contact Julie, email her at: theviolincase@yahoo.com.
